Check the picture below.notice, we firstly, need to get a value that will "mimic" the first term in our dividend, then we negativize the whole expression -(...), in order to get the quotient.so for the first one, for example in order to get "something" * d = d⁴, well that something = d³, d³ * d = d⁴, and then -(d⁴....), and we do so for each row down below, to get the quotient.another thing to notice, the dividend has to be in descending order, in this case, we're missing our fellow d², but is really not missing, it just has a 0 as its coefficient, thus 0d², notice in green.
